We departed after breakfast for our short jaunt to Caleton, which, for the record, has skyrocketed to the top of my favorite places on earth and we only spent a total of about 24 hours in the area, during most of which we had to attend to our regularly scheduled programming.
The drive from Havana to the Giron Beach area (Bay of Pigs) took a few hours. We stopped for water, the banio and a delicious ice cream treat at a rest stop filled with classic cars in various states of restoration. We had a chuckle when we discovered that the bounces of the bus registered on some pedometers, and by the time we reached our destination we had magically attained 9,000 steps while being chauffeured around.
